Today Lost Elvis will undergo a quick 40 minute voyage around the corner to anchor in the Bay of Zihuatanejo. The crew is looking forward to leaving the still heat of the marina and to be out in the fresh sea breeze. It's also much cheaper in the anchorage (as in free). The marina was about $70 per night plus water and electricity. We are filling our water and fuel tanks here in the Ixtapa Marina and are waiting for the Harbour Master (mistress in this case) to check us out.
Last night, after giving us a tour of the construction of their new house, Ken and Marilyn Ross had us over to their temporary bungalow dweling for a lovely dinner of barbequed pork roast. As a local chef in Barra once advised me, "never underestimate Mexican pork". He was right. The pork roast was delicious.
It's unusually hot and humid for this time of year. Thank goodness for air conditioning.
